Idaho Launch Program

Idaho Launch Program
Short term training in high demand areas

The Idaho Launch Program is managed by the Idaho Department of Labor and is funded through the Idaho Workforce Development Fund.  Idaho residents can apply for tuition support in a variety of short-term training areas that are in high demand.  A Department of Labor career planner will work with you to determine eligibility which is based on household income and 75 to 90 percent of tuition can be covered.

There is a $7,500 maximum lifetime benefit and a program can include more than one course.  For example, years 1,2,3, and 4 of an apprenticeship or adding Udemy membership (5,000 self-paced programs) to any other program.  Recipients must agree to work in Idaho for a year following their training or Idaho could ask you to return the training funds.

The funding is not available while in high school but an application can be started for training that would commence after graduation.
