Throughout the school year, MHS School Counselors, teachers, and staff assist students in preparing and registering for standardized tests which are important for college admissions, scholarships, industry credentialing, and other areas pertaining to students' goals.  

A college entrance exam is a Moscow School District requirement.  Students can choose an exam that will be beneficial for them.  The ASVAB and SAT are common choices.

  • PSAT/NMSQT  Practice SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.   Mid-October.  Approximately 3 hours.  
  • ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)  November.  2 hours approx.
  • Workplace Readiness Assessment (WRA) is in January & April for CTE students and is 1 hour.
  • ISAT  (Idaho Standard Achievement Tests) Test window is mid-March through mid-May. 
  • Idaho SAT School Day is mid-April.  The exam is approximately 3 hours.  All juniors are preregistered for this exam.  
  • AP exams (Advanced Placement) First 2 weeks of May.
